Problem

This 1,000-square-foot garage floor in Watertown, Minnesota needed a durable coating system that would protect the concrete while creating a clean, professional finished appearance. A garage floor is regularly exposed to vehicle traffic, dirt, moisture, road salt, chemicals, and everyday wear, so the coating system needed both strong adhesion and durable surface protection.

Solution

Permanent Coating Solutions prepared the concrete floor for the new coating system and installed a multi-layer epoxy and polyaspartic full-flake floor system. We applied an epoxy base coat to create a strong bond with the prepared concrete. A full decorative flake broadcast in the “Outback” color blend was then applied to create an attractive, uniform finish with added texture. The floor was finished with two clear polyaspartic top coats. Polyaspartic provides a tough protective wear surface with excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, moisture, staining, and the demanding conditions found in Minnesota garages. Using two clear top coats provides additional protection for the decorative flake layer and creates a durable, easy-to-clean finished garage floor.
